About the Conference

BruinMUN is the Model UN conference of Model United Nations at UCLA, run by UCLA undergraduates with a conference secretariat. The 34th edition takes place on the university's campus in Los Angeles, California. BruinMUN 34 runs on 7 and 8 November 2026 with 27 committees: general assemblies, novice general assemblies for first-year delegates, ECOSOC and specialised bodies, and crisis committees. Committee sizes range from about 15 to 25 delegations in the crisis rooms to 50 to 110 in the largest general assemblies. The conference offers a wide mix of formats, including a Los Angeles Olympics City Council set in 2026, an Indian Independence Cabinet from 1946, historical crisis rooms from the Magna Carta to the Mongol invasions, and a dedicated novice track. Its policies cover Best Delegate, Outstanding Delegate and delegation awards, and bar pre-written resolutions and AI use.
