About the Conference

CGS MUN is the Model United Nations conference of Costeas-Geitonas School in Athens. It began as a small school event in 2006 and joined the THIMUN family of affiliated conferences in 2012. The 21st conference runs from 11 to 13 December 2026 under the theme Breaking the Cycle: Sociopolitical Re-Invention. The school reports more than 600 participants. It is a secondary school conference that welcomes school delegations and independent participants from Greece and abroad. The six General Assembly committees meet together in a plenary session on the final day, and the line up also includes NATO, the IAEA and a Youth Assembly.
