About the Conference

Chennai Model United Nations, known as CHEMUN, is the annual Model UN conference hosted by the American International School of Chennai. It is affiliated with the THIMUN Foundation. CHEMUN XX, the twentieth edition, takes place from 13 to 15 November 2026 on the school's campus in Taramani, Chennai, India. The conference expects more than 450 delegates across 13 committees and 34 topics, under the theme Peace and Justice in an Era of Rising Tensions. It is aimed at high school students. Alongside General Assembly committees and ECOSOC it runs a Security Council, a Historical Security Council, an International Court of Justice, an Advisory Panel and a Special Conference, plus a UN4MUN committee.
