University of Chicago Model United Nations Conference (ChoMUN XXX) 2027

About the Conference

ChoMUN is the college Model United Nations conference of the University of Chicago, run by its student Model UN team. It started in 1998 and is known on the North American university circuit for its focus on crisis simulation. The thirtieth session, ChoMUN XXX, takes place from 25 to 28 March 2027 at the Palmer House Hilton in downtown Chicago. The conference expects over 1,000 delegates and staff across 28 committees, with a delegate to staff ratio better than four to one. It is aimed at university students, mostly from North American colleges, who want demanding crisis committees. Most of the programme is historical, corporate and futuristic crisis, from ancient Carthage to a starship in the year 3014, alongside a small set of General Assembly bodies, a joint crisis committee and ad hoc committees.
