About the Conference

CIMUN is the Chicago International Model United Nations, an annual Model UN conference held in downtown Chicago. The coming conference is its 23rd edition and is based at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park hotel. It runs from 3 to 6 December 2026. The slate is built around a Historical Simulation set in 1989, with around 20 committees that include UN bodies, a court, Cold War cabinets and councils, ad hoc crisis committees and a press corps. It is a good fit for delegates who enjoy historical and crisis-style debate, and the press committee gives writers a role of their own.
