About the Conference

The Dawson College Model United Nations Conference (DCMUN) is run by students of Dawson College in Montreal, supported by two faculty advisors. The 2027 theme is Freedom of Thought, and the conference stresses in-depth research and original debate over stock arguments. The third edition takes place from 15 to 17 January 2027 at Dawson College, 3040 Sherbrooke Street West, Montreal. It offers nine committees, including a bilingual English and French stream and an International Court of Justice simulation for the first time. Early bird registration closes on 20 November 2026 and registration closes on 1 December 2026. The conference states that it cannot accept international registrations. It suits delegates of all levels, from a beginner General Assembly and a CERN committee to advanced crises and a French bilingual ECOSOC. The slate also includes a Star Wars crisis, a Love Island mystery and a committee set inside a Miyazaki film dream.
