DUMUN is a Model United Nations conference for secondary school students, organised by students of Gymnázium Duhovka in Prague with the support of their teachers. It is run in English and asks for business formal dress. The 2027 edition is the second DUMUN and takes place in Prague from 5 to 8 February 2027. It has eight committees with about 150 delegate places in total, up from seven committees and more than 130 delegates at the first edition in 2026, which used venues including the Czech Parliament. The conference suits both first time delegates and experienced ones: the Human Rights Council and ECOSOC are marked as beginner committees, while the historical Security Council, the International Criminal Court and a crisis committee whose topic stays sealed until the opening ceremony are marked expert. Committees 🕊️ Human Rights Council (The death penalty and international human rights standards; The human rights impact of LGBT related legislation and criminalisation) 💼 Economic and Social Council (Global debt crises in developing nations; The affordable housing crisis in rapidly urbanising cities) 🛡️ Disarmament and Security Committee (The illicit trade of small arms and light weapons; Preventing non-state armed groups from acquiring advanced weapons systems) 💊 United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (The global production, trafficking and distribution of fentanyl; Rehabilitation and reintegration of drug dependent individuals) 🛡️ Security Council (Terrorism and political instability in the Sahel region) 🏛️ Historical Security Council (The Cuban Missile Crisis, 1962) ⚖️ International Criminal Court (The Prosecutor v.
