About the Conference
GerMUN is one of the oldest academic Model United Nations conferences in Germany, first held in 1992 and organised in rotation by Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich and the University of Trier. It prepares university students for larger conferences such as NMUN New York and uses the NMUN rules of procedure. The 2027 conference, its 35th anniversary year, runs from 18 to 21 February 2027 at the DJH youth hostel Berlin-Am Wannsee, where participants also stay. Registration is for university students only and closes on 2 November 2026. Each committee debates two topics. Committees 🤝 General Assembly (Promotion of Sustainable Tourism; Eradicating Rural Poverty to Implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development) 🛡️ Security Council (International Peace and Security and the Use of AI; The Situation in Haiti) 💼 United Nations Development Programme (Building Resilience to Crisis and Shocks; Adaptation and Resilience in the Face of Climate Change)
