Haarlem Model United Nations 2027

About the Conference

HMUN is a secondary school Model United Nations conference run by students of the Stedelijk Gymnasium Haarlem. The organisers describe it as a non-profit event that has hosted an international conference for more than twenty years. The 2027 edition is the 30th and takes place from 2 to 4 April 2027 at the Stedelijk Gymnasium in the historic centre of Haarlem in the Netherlands. The organisers say the conference welcomes around 600 students from all over the world. The 2027 theme is "A seat at the table: hungry for power, thirst for recognition", and the issues for each committee had not been revealed when the site was checked. It is aimed at secondary school delegations. The committee list is wide, from General Assembly committees and councils to regional bodies and an expert committee, so schools can place beginners and experienced delegates side by side. School registration closes on 20 November.
