About the Conference

INDMUN is a Model United Nations conference organised by students of Institut Notre Dame, a school in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, west of Paris. It describes itself as a local conference that welcomes delegates from schools across France. The 2027 edition takes place on 30 and 31 January 2027 at the school. Its theme is the rise of extremism in the world, under the title Beyond borders, who controls a connected world. Seven English-language committees are announced, and a French-language committee (MFNU) is planned. The organisers say the conference is beginner friendly and suits students trying MUN for the first time as well as experienced delegates. Committees range from beginner to expert level, and one is a crisis committee. Committees šŸ›”ļø Security Council (Hybrid warfare and the erosion of national sovereignty) 🚨 Crisis Committee šŸ›”ļø Disarmament and International Security Committee (Autonomous weapons and the internationalization of warfare) šŸ•Šļø Human Rights Council (Human rights in an age of digital surveillance) šŸ›ļø Historical Security Council (The Oslo Accords) šŸŒ United Nations Environment Programme (Governing resources in international waters) šŸ’¼ Economic and Social Council (Preventing digitalization from widening global inequality)
