About the Conference
jlgMUN is a secondary school Model United Nations conference that grew out of the MUN club at John-Lennon-Gymnasium in Berlin. The club started in 2017, MUN became an elective course at the school in 2022, and the school held its first in-house conference in 2024. The fourth edition runs from 3 to 6 June 2027 in Berlin, with the opening ceremony planned at the British Embassy. The conference is built for around 160 delegates and schools join by contacting the organising team directly. It is aimed at high school students who want a compact, school-run conference in the German capital. Earlier editions placed their ceremonies at diplomatic venues such as the Federal Foreign Office, and the programme focuses on research, speechwriting and respectful debate.
