About the Conference

The Japan Metropolitan Model United Nations is an English-language conference run by students of Senzoku Gakuen Junior and Senior High School. It describes itself as one of the largest student-run high school conferences in Japan, and has been held for over ten years. The 2027 edition is the twelfth conference and takes place on 27 and 28 March 2027, with every committee in person at the host school in Kawasaki. Past editions have hosted more than 30 schools and over 400 delegates from Japan and abroad. It is aimed at high school students. Committees are split into Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels so that newcomers and experienced debaters each find a fitting room, and one Intermediate committee is for pairs of delegates. The conference follows UNA-USA style rules of procedure and offers a beginner workshop.
