About the Conference

LEMUN is a secondary school Model United Nations conference organised by students of the Stedelijk Gymnasium Leiden, a public grammar school in the centre of Leiden in the Netherlands. The conference was founded in 2002 with 200 delegates. The 2026 edition runs from Friday afternoon 11 December to Sunday evening 13 December 2026 at the school, with registration on the evening of Thursday 10 December. About 450 delegates take part and roughly half come from abroad. A limited community housing programme exists for foreign schools that have attended before. It suits both new and experienced delegates, with regular General Assembly committees alongside harder special committees, a historical council and a crisis committee.
