About the Conference
LUMUN is the Model United Nations conference of the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), organised by the university's LUMUN Society. It has run for more than two decades and describes itself as one of the leading Model UN conferences in Pakistan, with over 15,000 delegates hosted across its editions. LUMUN 23 takes place on the LUMS campus in Lahore from 4 to 7 January 2027. The conference expects more than 1,500 delegates from over 200 delegations, spread across 17 committees grouped into General Assembly, Economic and Social Council, specialised agency and regional body sessions. The conference is open to school and university students. Schools and universities register delegations of 2 to 10 people, and individuals can join as private delegates. Junior delegations of O Level and Matric students compete for a separate Best Junior Delegation award, and international delegates have their own fee band. Accommodation and social events can be booked during registration.
