About the Conference

The Montessori Model United Nations (MMUN) Bangkok Conference is the in-person finale of a year-long peace education programme run by Youth for a Better World, a Montessori-inspired organisation. The programme is built for students aged 9 to 15 and also includes online working sessions, student meet-ups and workshops for parents and coordinators. The Bangkok conference takes place from 20 to 23 November 2026 at the Grande Centre Point Lumphini hotel in Sathon, Bangkok. The organisers moved the dates so that delegates could have access to the UN ESCAP building. The four days cover registration, an opening ceremony with a parade of nations and a welcome dinner, two days of committee sessions with a hall of nations display and a cultural evening, and a closing ceremony where each committee presents its resolution. It is for upper elementary and middle school students, together with their teachers, parents and chaperones, who can observe the proceedings and join their own workshops. Delegates work independently with only procedural guidance from the bureau, and the programme also offers other conferences in New York, Rome and online.
