About the Conference

The Montessori Model United Nations Rome Conference is the in person finale of a year long programme run by Montessori Model United Nations, an organisation based in New York. The programme is aimed at younger students, roughly ages 9 to 15, and prepares them through working sessions, student meet-ups and workshops for parents and coordinators. The Rome conference runs from 27 to 30 April 2027 at the Rome Marriott Park Hotel. The organisers say some events may use the FAO plenary hall, subject to the FAO's own operations. It suits primary and middle school delegations travelling with teacher or parent coordinators. The four days include an opening ceremony with a Parade of Nations, committee sessions, a Hall of Nations display, evening cultural events and a closing ceremony where committees present resolutions, which the organisers forward to the UN Secretary General.
