MUNOL is a Model United Nations conference for secondary school students, organised by students of the Thomas-Mann-Schule in Lübeck. An alumni association founded in 2003 advises each new organising team and keeps knowledge passed on between editions, but the conference itself is run by students. The 2027 conference takes place in Lübeck from 10 to 14 May 2027, following the 29th session held in 2026. It lasts a full school week, longer than most school conferences, and debates are held in English under UN procedure. Visiting students can stay with local host families. MUNOL is built around school delegations that travel with their teachers. During the week the teachers act as MUN Directors, advising their students, helping check the language of draft resolutions and taking part in a cultural programme of their own. The setting is the old Hanseatic city of Lübeck, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Committees and issues for 2027 are announced on the website ahead of the conference.
