About the Conference

The Model United Nations of the University of Chicago (MUNUC) is a four-day high school conference run by students at the University of Chicago. It has been held every year since 1988 and puts teaching at the centre of its committees. MUNUC 39 takes place from 18 to 21 February 2027 at the Hilton Chicago on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago, Illinois, United States. The conference usually draws over 3,000 students and will run 33 committees. School registration closed on 11 October 2026 and a waitlist is open; position papers are due on 7 February 2027. It is for high school students from the United States and abroad, who register as school delegations and stay at the conference hotel.
