Model United Nations at the University of Michigan, known as MUNUM, is a conference for high school delegates run by University of Michigan students. It was founded in 1987 and is run as a 501(c)(3) charity; the funds from one recent edition went to the Michigan Coalition Against Homelessness. The session runs from 14 to 17 January 2027 on the Ann Arbor campus, with opening ceremonies in Rackham Auditorium. The conference says nearly one thousand delegates and advisors attend over four days, and the site numbers this edition MUNUM XL. MUNUM began as a pure UN simulation and now also includes non-traditional committees, where delegates take roles such as a medieval physician or a member of a football council, alongside crisis committees and an International Press Corps. Six general assembly committees are named on the site. Committees š¼ International Labour Organization šļø Social, Humanitarian and Cultural Committee āļø Legal Committee šļø United Nations Human Rights Council š United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime š¼ World Intellectual Property Organization
