NOVOMUN 2027

About the Conference

NOVOMUN is a school-level Model United Nations conference run by Colégio Novo da Maia in Maia, Portugal. It grew out of the school's earlier CNMMUN event, and the 2027 edition is the third NOVOMUN, following editions in 2025 and 2026. The conference takes place from 7 to 9 April 2027 at the Universidade da Maia in Maia, Portugal, in English. The 2027 theme is A World Behind a Wall: The Rise of a New East-West Divide. Delegates debate in several committees plus a junior committee, and the organisers publish research reports and an instructional guide for delegates on the website. It is aimed at school students, including first-time delegates, who are not required to arrive with a pre-written clause. Delegates debate in a school-level format that follows standard Model UN rules of procedure.
