About the Conference

OAKMUN is the Model United Nations conference of Oak House School in Barcelona. It is run by the school's IB students, who form the executive team and chairs. The 2027 edition is a three day conference starting on 10 February 2027, with the opening ceremony at the ESADE University Pedralbes campus. Its theme is Fractured Foundations, which looks at a system that promises equality but does not fully deliver it. The conference lists 13 committees with seat counts that add up to about 320 delegates, and delegates are expected from Spain, Italy, France, Morocco, Greece, Turkey, Palestine, Israel, Kuwait and the UK. Committees are grouped by experience, so first time delegates start in the beginner committees while experienced ones can move to the intermediate and advanced rooms, including a historical committee and a speculative crisis committee. Delegates are asked to share a position paper with their chairs before the event.
