West London Model United Nations 2027

About the Conference

West London Model UN is a one-day Model UN conference for schools, hosted by the American School in London in the north west of the city. It follows the Global Classrooms format and is built as a small, supportive event for students new to MUN or at an intermediate level. The 12th edition takes place on Saturday 6 February 2027 under the title Sharing Our Earth: Balancing Scarcity, Sovereignty, and Sustainability. Participating schools join a three hour training workshop in November, and delegates send in a position paper before the conference. Five committees sit on the day. It is open to students in Years 10 to 13 and is run for teachers and schools, not individual applicants. The site notes it cannot support schools that would need UK immigration clearance for a one day event. Committees 🚀 Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (Property rights in space) 💼 Economic and Financial Committee (Closing the global AI divide) 💼 Economic and Social Council (Environmental inequality through land use) 🌍 United Nations Environment Programme (Plastic pollution in marine ecosystems) 🌱 United Nations Children's Fund (Impacts of water insecurity on children)
